Assisted (Self) Publishing is hybrid model between traditional publishing and independent publishing. What that insists is that the the authors reserve some rights of the entire process. 




Image result for assistanceWhat could these rights be?Some of these are Editing and Proofreading, ISBN numbers marketing designing etc. Of course the 'authoring' is the sole responsibility of the author. But many of these aspects mentioned above can also be done by the author. 

Image result for assistanceTherefore the author may either do it her/him self or lend it out to professionals or persons able. It might be best to hire out if the time and expertise can be consuming. The reviewing can be up for grabs.  






For the traditional publishers this might cause some harm as they don't have the monopoly of the process and they can't expect to request payments to that effect.But they are still able to bring in sufficient amount as it cover the major part of printing. 



Image result for assistance For the author it brings several benefits. She/he controls the entire process. The publishers will not be in a position to refuse a work. The author will reserve the right of payments made to all including the publisher and finally the product comes out as published work.

This thinking has been present for several years now and it has been found to be agreeable with different types of authors. The fact that it offers professionalism with flexibility makes it worthwhile contender.
